Redefining the music lesson experience!
The Opus Alive studios are located in the historic Heintzman House, Thornhill. The Heintzman name has been synonymous with extraordinary music in Canada since 1870. Opus Alive has permanent residence in the historic Heintzman mansion, where we have equipped our lesson studios with fully restored Heintzman pianos. Our teaching staff is unparalleled and dedicated to the task of not just empowering young musicians, but unlocking a passion that will carry into every facet of life.
Opus Alive is first and foremost a performing organization. As such, all private lesson students perform in masterclasses, and in micro-concerts throughout the season. Similar to a University faculty experience, even piano and string students sing, joining with the Upper Canada Chorus for some concerts throughout the season (at no additional charge).
Students are assigned to one advisor, yet are exposed to a collaborative teaching environment including the most extraordinary teachers in our city.
Our studio in the Heintzman House is limited to 100 students, and you must be accepted into the studio by first scheduling a “Meet With Us!” session. Call the number below, or fill in a Meet with us! form today, as not many spaces remain for September.
