Thousands of students across Ontario have discovered the power of music through Opus Alive and Upper Canada Chorus participatory experiences. Designed to ignite a passion for live arts, and to encourage and enrich school curriculum, these events have drawn from the world’s leading performers – Colm Wilkinson, John McDermott, Jodi Benson, Orla Fallon and many others – who have shared their talents to further arts education among youth in our great nation.
Sharing the art of music making in community is an extraordinary experience. Our world-class concert experiences are like no other and the 2016/2017 Opus Alive concert series is no exception. Students collaborate with like-minded and passionate youth, local and international guest artists, and the Toronto Pops Orchestra to create living works of art.
There are several ways for you and your students to get involved:
- Register your class or choir for an Opus Alive concert experience. We will provide all the materials you need and help prepare your students for an unforgettable performance experience.
- Encourage select students to participate in an Opus Alive concert event through our “Teacher’s Selection” program. Students selected by teachers across the GTA may participate independently (or in small groups) by attending any of our 9 area rehearsal campuses to prepare for the show.
- Participate in our Integrated Arts and Opus Talks Events throughout the season.
