OPUS Summer Day Camps – An Integrated Arts Experience!
Our Integrated Arts Camps combine disciplines – including Music, Dance, Drama & Visual Arts with summer activities including High/Low Ropes, Wide Games & Swimming – to create an action-packed, thrilling summer arts experience. And while our particular focus might be on all things Arts, we haven’t lost sight of what makes summer great. There will be plenty of time for outdoor games, social connections, exploration and high-octane fun!
Though you may sign up for a single week of camp, our summer program is designed to be most impactful through 2 continuous weeks, culminating in a final performance at Glynwood on the second Friday. We are committed to a truly elite level of instruction and care, and limited to just 20 student participants and 10 high school ‘leaders in training’ per camp week, creating a 1-2 leader/camper ratio. Only 2 spaces remain!
If you have not yet attended a summer camp with us, you may want to sign up for a “Meet With Us” session.
Adventure – Wild Imaginings in the Great Outdoors
There is a little adventure in all of us, but a Canadian summer really helps to let it all out. Natural Science, Ropes Courses, Zip Lines, Duck Hatchings and extraordinary Summer Adventures await!
Allow nature to build your nature this summer. Our Adventure Camp activities and curriculum have been carefully selected to encourage teamwork, creativity and social development. An elite ensemble of special instructors – including Stanford PhD and Nasa scientist James Delaurier, Miles Montgomery, PhD Biomedical Engineering & Cambridge University Master’s grad Joel Westberg, Environmental Engineering – will revolutionize your understanding of Natural Science, and ignite a passion for the environments in which we live.
Your Adventure Activities Include:
Broadway – Sing, Dance, Act – Musical Theatre “Triple Threat”
Come experience the thrill of Broadway. From “Matilda” to “Wicked” and Hip-Hop to Jazz, our Broadway camp is an intensive exploration of a truly inspirational art form. Artistic electives are planned in age specific groups, and are designed to create confidence and develop communication skills in a fun, performance-based environment. Campers will receive elite-level motivational instruction from industry professionals including acclaimed dancer/choreographer Tina Desrochers and rhythm expert Joaquin Nunez.
Campers this summer will experience Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” live on stage at the St. Jacob’s Country Playhouse.
Your Broadway Activities Include:
There is nothing quite like the experience of camp with friends. Unlock the powers of self-expression through an unforgettable day-camp experience this summer. Though you may choose to sign up for a single week of camp, our summer program has been carefully designed to be an elite experience through 2 continuous weeks, culminating in a final performance at Glynwood on the final Friday of the 2-week program. The first week will lean toward ‘adventure’, and the second week will lean toward ‘broadway’, but both will feel seamless and are intended to be complimentary.
